HGC Coffee Morning & Juniors Golf & Party

A very busy day at the Haverfordwest Golf Club yesterday started off with the Ladies Section Coffee Morning to raise funds for the redecoration of the computer scoring area. There were some tasty treats to buy from our Master Cake Makers, Pam Pile, Charlotte Baxter and Tabi Curtis. Nicki Reeves and Dillon James showed their artistic wares and some great Christmas Hampers being won in the raffle.

Then it was out on the course for 32 of our Juniors who were accompanied by numerous elves, reindeer and The Grinch. Jacqui Saunders had a difficult time judging the best decorated trolley which was won by Macsen Abbot who also won nearest the elf sponsored by Jane Griffiths. Earlier in the day Fin Atyeo won the putting competition and Ollie Holman beat all comers winning nearest the pin on the simulator.

On completing an 8-hole Texas Scramble it was back to the clubhouse to be fed by Adam, Jenny and the team who provided a great Christmas buffet for all players.

The day ended with the Juniors Raffle with lots of prizes being donated by parents and members.

Our Pro-shop team of Elliot Harding, winner of Mylo in our guess the Teddys name, and Alan (The Grinch) Spencer supported us with a fine array of cakes and biscuits in the morning as well as donating prizes them-selves.

Thanks to all that helped and supported the event especially the Christmas Committee, The Baxter Family for buying Mylo, all the elves and reindeer and Matt Holman for decorating the chocolate/sweet carrying Golf Buggy.

On behalf of the Management Committee, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a great 2025.
